Here is what it’s like to attend an Ozzy Osbourne press conference:

But first, before I tell you what was said, I want to know is when will I see some new Black Sabbath merch?

First, you observe as a question is asked while Ozzy squints and makes a quizzical face. “Huh?” the legendary Black Sabbath frontman will rumble. “What’d he say?”

Then you have to wait as wife Sharon leaps in and repeats the question in her husband’s hearing-impaired ears, as if translating an exotic dialect. Then Ozzy gathers himself for some sort of response, and the burden falls on you to try to decipher what in the name of all that’s holy Ozzy is trying to say.

In 1998, Underoath formed with vocalist Dallas Taylor and guitarist Luke Morton in Taylor’s bedroom in Ocala, Florida. Morton devised the name Underoath from somewhere in the Bible. Drummer Aaron Gillespie, who attended Morton’s church, was asked to play with them. Gillespie agreed, and the group recruited guitarist Corey Steger and bassist Octavio Fernandez; the band members were all in high school.

After going through various lineups, the band finally found guitarist Corey Beaulieu, who compliments Heafy’s precision playing with solid riffs that help anchor the songs. Landing a bassist was even more difficult. Numerous players came and went before Paolo Gregoletto, who has jammed with Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain, was brought in just in time for the tour with Machine Head. Feeling so strongly about the group, their music and their dedication to their craft, Paolo left another group to be a part of Trivium.

The second most recent album Miasma peaked at #118 on the Billboard 200. Recently, Pierre Langlois left the band for a more secure lifestyle, and the band has finished their search for a replacement drummer and found former All That Remains drummer, Shannon Lucas.

Taking Back Sunday released their first full album Tell All Your Friends, produced by Sal Villaneuva for Victory Records in 2002. Tell All Your Friends gave the band a small taste of success in the alternative rock spotlight.  The album cover is a picture of an off-ramp, marked by a sign bearing the words Exit 152, signifying the exit sign where they met their friends. The number has appeared on every album cover to date.

Touring in support of Chuck, Sum 41 played videos before their set which were deemed “unsuitable for children”. Much controversy arose over the videos. In one video, Basketball Butcher, which was also included in some versions of Chuck, Steve and Cone play basketball, and Cone beats Steve badly. Following the game, Steve murders Cone and later dismembers and cooks him. In another video, 1-800-Justice, Cone and Steve are drug dealing brothers, while Dave and Deryck play undercover police officers. Steve shoots Deryck, as Cone stabs Dave, and Steve and Cone make their getaway.
